On today’s video, we’re counting down the biggest failures of the 20/21 season.
Of course, we had to dig into the relegated sides, with Sheffield United and Schalke enduring terrible campaigns, but we also looked at title-contenders faltering in Europe, like Inter Milan, and talented sides failing to make good on their promise, like Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.
Eden Hazard’s continued misery at Real Madrid also makes the cut, and we take a victory lap for our prediction that Juventus and Barca’s swap deal with Arthur and Pjanic would turn out badly. Then we have Celtic, missing out on 10 in a row to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers; the mess that is VAR and the handball rule; and finally Liverpool, who have managed to follow up one of the best years in their history with a calamitous year full of injuries, defeats, and Juergen Klopp tantrums.
